I don’t think your recent method is black hat. I personally would like to know all of your methods that can be used and I will then decide for myself if I am comfortable with them. At least this way I know what my competition might be doing and I could be prepared.
I think this is clever and even if I didn’t end up using it the knowledge of what is out there is priceless…especially to know what my competitors are doing. Please keep ‘all’ methods coming! Thanks for all that you are doing!
I can see why some people might consider this to be “blackhat” but in order to fully grasp it, you have to follow the trail of what happens…
Person searches for movie….
Person lands on your website…
You offer to find movie for them in exchange for email address
They accept and give you the email address…
You forward them to a site that is likely to have the movie they are looking for…
These types of methods require that you use offers that are able to be incentivized. After speaking to the one person through email with some back and fourth…I actually feel like a bit of an asshole because I took their concern personally instead of constructively.
Either way, we will be putting up a new method in a few days and we will all go from there
If the previous method isn’t for you then just leave it alone and wait for what comes next
Yes, I prefer whitehat methods. However, I don’t think there was anything wrong with you presenting the latest method — especially when you consider that it has very practical whitehat applications, as Don mentioned. Furthermore, the script Don wrote will probably have multiple uses.
But, in any case, there’s nothing wrong with simply having a discussion regarding both the pros and the cons of various methods — blackhat, whitehat, or otherwise.
And don’t be disappointed if everyone doesn’t like every method you present — it’s certainly no reflection on you or Don. As I said, it’s just a discussion with people throwing out various thoughts and ideas. No harm; no foul.
Besides, if anyone gets arrested by the feds for using the blackhat version of this method, we can all chip in a couple bucks and send them a cake with a file in it. ;>)
I certainly wasn’t offended at all. I just had a concern which Don has addressed in the other thread, and I’m happy with it I think one of the reasons some people say it’s black hat is because Don used the term in the video and I have no problem with it. I have always wanted to learn some black hat techniques. If you don’t think it’s black hat, oh well!
You did mention in the beginning that you would be introducing some grey hat methods. Perhaps this could be considered one? I would suggest you still present some of those methods. Maybe at the end, after you presented all the white hat ones and maybe add a disclaimer or caveat saying “use them at your own risk” or something like that so that no one comes back and blame you if they go to jail :p
Like some of the others said, it’s good to know some of those methods even if it’s for informational purposes only. You can’t please everybody, especially when there are hundreds of people in the bootcamp. So I suggest you just present all the methods like a buffet. Everyone can take whatever they like and leave the the ones they don’t.
I am not offended by anything you are doing,I made my first online sale because of you guys.I feel sorry that you have had to record a video to explain your methods you should not feel you have to do that.
Jeremy has been outstanding in helping me and answering my questions.
I cant kiss arse enough for Jeremy and Don, never have I received this amount of help for so little cost.
I am still trying out the first method, and have not really looked at the second method in detail.
Since Jeremy took the time to post a video on the previous subject I thought I would throw in some support. When I first saw the method, there was a part of me that said that particular model wasn’t for me but so what. As Don and Jeremy said, go with your comfort level.
The important thing they are introducing methods that us rookies need to learn and be aware of and what makes them tick. And by using our imagination we can develop our own method that we are comfortable with.
The level of hands on knowledge in the two bootcamps I’ve been in so far as by far surpassed any training I’ve received on the web in the last 2 years concerning “what’s really going on.”
This is the kind of info you get from really good friends, for them to lift the curtain and let up get a glimpse is worth the price of admission. Sure, they are compensated by our admission fee but they could of talked about the first method for 3 weeks in even more detail but they chose to expand our awareness.
I don’t know about you guys but I’ve never seen anyone explain how to modify the config file for IM purposes like that or how to modify a blog for IM purposes or build a network of sites that works.
So let’s give them some slack, this is a work of art in progress.
I want to add that I was actually looking for some “grey” and “blackhat” methods too. People who are not interested in such methods just don’t have to follow them. It’s as simple as that.
As you said, if anyone wants to make big money, a little deviation may be required.
Your bootcamp here is the real deal and I’m learning a lot from this. I’ve been part of many others organized by the so-called “gurus” and was totally disappointed.
Looking forward to more great stuff from you guys and I do hope you consider my request, as many others I’m sure would like to learn as many methods as possible.
Oosha, I agree with you 100% and Don and Jeremy you two are awesome for what you have taught and continue to teach.
I know for a fact and not going to go into detail as to how I know, but the “big boys” in cpa always walk the grey/black line and they are laughing all the way to the bank. And there is no way any laws here are being broken.
I too personally would like to know more about grey and black methods and would welcome the learning experience.
I agree that i would like to see all methods available, white, grey and black and then make up my own mind what methods i want to use.
We are all adults surely we can decide what we want to use and what we dont
For me, Don and Jeremy are the real deal…. This is my first time to have somebody replying honest answers to my email…=) So, even if it is grey, black or even all the colors of hat, I would be glad to listen to them and if they told me to do 50 push ups in this bootcamp, i would also be glad to do it…=) I also agree to the above poster, “We are all adults surely we can decide what we want to use and what we don’t…”
This is great information you are giving us Jeremy. If anything i dont mind if you get even a little darker. I personally like all the methods you are teaching, and would like to see more of each. Keep up the great work and dont let a couple loser’s opinions stop you from teaching what is great stuff.
Black Hat? Give me a break! Teach EVERYTHING. If someone doesn’t like it tell them to go to hell. Period. I want to learn whatever works. I, and only I, will make the decision about whether or not to use a particular technique, not some gaywad who worries about offending his shadow. Keep going.

You guys….Don’t be so harsh.
There are people who weight the moral and ethical things into all equations. That isn’t a bad thing….
What is hard with CPA though is…So many of the methods and tactics that are used can be construed as black hat and can definitely be used as such
Don and I might edge into the gray every now and again, but from the most part we keep our noses pretty clean. It sucks to build up 10 or 15K in an account and then have the network snatch it away from you
So, we will leave it at different strokes for different folks
I will say that we encourage all of you to take a white hat approach to CPA especially in the beginning until you know how and when to protect yourself. Unfortunately, there is no way that we can cover all of them unless we turn this into a lifelong bootcamp lol.
So, stick to the clean stuff until you get the hang of it and then go from there
I’m a little bit surprised that there was an outcry about this method. When you think about it, this method is the same thing that just about every internet marketer does - they offer you a bonus for giving them your email address. This is basically the same, except they are giving their email address to the offer owner rather than you. We don’t consider it blackhat when John Reese or Mike Filsaime or whoever says give me your email address and I’ll give you this free report.
As long as the CPA network says you can incentivize an offer, there is nothing wrong with this. Incidentally, that’s a big deal. Every CPA offer tells you how you can promote it. Make sure incentives are okay before you use it. Also remember that the person who lands on these pages has a choice as to whether they want to fill out the offers. You are in no way compelling them to. That’s not black hat in the least.
I think some of you should browse some of the black hat forums and you’ll see what I mean. If you don’t realize what is going on out there, you’re going to be shocked. There are methods that post fake job offers to Craigs List. Software that gets clandestinely placed on people’s computers (check out the pay per install industry). Mass cookie stuffing. And on and on. This doesn’t even compare. You can make it as white hat as you want by changing the incentive and ensuring that the user gets it when they fill out the offer.
It’s funny how Jeremy made this video to justify that the method is not blackhat, while Don mentioned at least 3 times in the video that the method he is showing is blackhat

Mario — This method can be VERY BLACKHAT if used that way…Which is what I think Don was trying to get across.
The way we showed it though was more on the light side

Offended? I’d say, let’s have more “blackhat” methods.
I just checked the new method and now time to do something with it.
Thank you Jeremy and Don!

I’m not hating, thanks for the method. It looks easy to implement and I will give it a try.

Hey I have a basic question. Where do you install the files using FTP?
